About me
I was a practicing veterinarian for over 30 years. While I enjoyed a rewarding veterinary career, it consumed my life to the point that I had had little time for anything else. I decided to retire in order to see what else the world could offer me.
I began to renew an old interest in photography during the latter stages of my veterinary career. Retirement has afforded me the opportunity to spend much more time with my camera and to travel. My love of animals and of the outdoors originally led me to concentrate on wildlife photography, and while that continues today as a great passion I have expanded my interests into landscapes and even occasionally, travel photography.
My photography has led me to some of the most beautiful locations in the world including Iceland, Antarctica, Africa , the Galapagos and Patagonia, to name a few. I look for places where nature predominates and wildlife populations exceed human.
While my photography is more of a hobby I do occasionally sell my work. I have a permanent display at the Front Street Gallery in Poulsbo, Washington. Additionally, I can print most of the images found on this site.
